The British took over the administration in of the near bye Sennelager Ranges in 1945 and have retained it to the present day. The range area has been developed further to meet the requirements of modern training whilst, as far as possible preserving the natural beauty of the country side.
There are three first schools within the Garrison, William Wordsworth Normand Bks (STC) Sennelager, Robert Browning Normandy Bks (STC) Sennelager and Bishops Park Arndt Strasse Paderborn.
The middle school for 9 – 13yrs is John Buchan, Thunerweg Sennelager .
