Bremer US Car Meet at the Waterfront Promenade

Antique cars, new classics and current US models from the entire Northwest and other states present their shining chrome beauty. Everything is on display from Cadillacs to the Fords of the early 50s to GM and Dodge cars.
The 3rd Bremer US-Car Treffen will be held directly on the Promenade of the Waterfront. Along with spectacular cars, there will be live music by the band "Kickstart" from Osterholz-Scharmbeck. The genuine "Weser Elvis" will perform the best from the decade of the King of Rock and Roll.

Boating license for children

Date: 21 August 2010
Time: 11 am – 7 pm
Location: Waterfront Promenade

Fireman, locomotive engineer, or captain: children's have a variety of dream jobs. At the Waterfront Promenade future ship's captains can try out their dream job in model motorboats and even get a boating license.
Between 11 am – 7 pm, a 6x8 m basin will be erected outside in which children can take a stab at driving miniature boat models of the Schiffs-Modell-Club Bremen e.V. by remote control. Whoever gets the freight and crew back into the harbour safely will receive a boating license as a memento of the experience.

Hamburg

Taking place three times a year, the Hamburg DOM Festival is one of the largest fun fairs in Germany.
Thrilling rides, beer tents, musical events, family entertainment as well as special attractions combine to attract approx. nine million visitors a year.

Highlights include a medieval fort and a witches' village during the Spring DOM, lots of cowboy action in the western town during the Summer DOM, and Advent magic in medieval costumes during the Winter DOM.

The history of the DOM Festival dates back to the 14th century, when St Mary's Cathedral (St Marien Dom) offered refuge to traders and craftsmen as well as travelling players and quack doctors when it was cold, wet and windy outside. This worldly merry-making later moved from its original location at the St Marien Dom to the Heiligengeistfeld, but still carries the name "DOM Festival" today.
