GLSU – Garrison Labour Support Unit (Fallingbostel Office)
The GLSU is situated in building MB 55 (Station Headquarters Building) within Fallingbostel Station. This Unit is your employment agency for the majority of vacancies arising in the Garrison. The GLSU is responsible for filling vacancies within the military units and sponsored organisations of British Forces Germany (BFG). Thereafter much of the administration, documentation, pay and industrial relations activities for each employee are carried out by them.
In order to be considered for employment you must first register with the GLSU. The Recruiter will advise on employment prospects and will help to guide candidates in the right direction.
Although every effort will be made, there is no automatic right for a job and each vacancy will be filled by competition. There are a variety of job opportunities for Dependants as Clerk/Typists, Bus Escorts, Domestic Assistants, etc. Close relatives on visits may not apply.

The office is open for enquiries from 08.30 – 12.00 hrs Monday to Friday and
from 14.00 – 16.00 hrs Monday to Thursday. Friday afternoon is closed.

Note: If you wish to claim Unemployment Benefit on moving to BFG from the UK you must register with the German Labour Office (Arbeitsamt) in Walsrode, Benzer Strasse. The key factor in making a successful claim is that you must first establish an entitlement prior to leaving the UK by obtaining the necessary documentation.
