Welcome to the pleasant, ancient town of Bielefeld, widely regarded as one of the best places to serve in Germany. There are many places to visit with the relationship between the British Military and the local German population being very strong. Bielefeld combines the advantages of a city, with both exciting and relaxing leisure opportunities in the Teutoburg Forest. An excellent traffic network, a wide variety of restaurants and pubs, 14 museums, theatres, concert venues, a castle, pedestrian shopping precincts, plus much more make Bielefeld a popular destination
Bielefeld Station works within Gutersloh Garrison. Within the Station, 7 Transport Regiment RLC shoulders the lion's share of Station Support tasks, with all units in Station providing support in different ways.
The primary and pre-school for Bielefeld is on Catterick Barracks, Bielefeld Primary The secondary school, King's School is situated on Mansergh Barracks, Gutersloh. A 30 minute bus journey.
The Station has many amenities these include a gym, Medical and Dental centre, Naafi food store, Red Shield café and paper shop, hairdressers, travel agent, a well stocked PRI shop plus much, much more.
The major unit Welfare Officers are 7 Transport Regiment RLC and 24 Regiment RLC
